Name the decision
Do you need to understand journey history, review a geofence event or coordinate vehicle usage? Each question needs a different view. Agree who reads the report and how often before adding more charts.
Add operational context
A route becomes more meaningful when the team understands the vehicle, the relevant job and the time period. Avoid collecting more personal information than the operational task requires. Decide who is authorised to see each type of information.
Check the configuration
A report can only use data the selected hardware and platform provide. Fuel information, accessory events and other advanced readings may depend on installation, calibration and vehicle compatibility. Confirm these dependencies before selecting a package.
Keep exceptions understandable
Event indicators should explain what was recorded, when it occurred and what the team should review. They should not be treated as guaranteed detection or an automatic substitute for emergency procedures.
Make review practical
Choose a concise report with clear dates and a readable event list. A map-free view can make the same journey easier to inspect on a small screen. Review the usefulness of each report with the people who actually use it.
